break from Deadman, “panel space” throwback

taking a break from inking Deadman to post some old work… maybe to remind myself of what I do. Thought it’d be interesting for anyone perusing the old blog.
This is something I did a few years back for the Brooklyn Underground Film Festival. I was playing around with genre, graphic narrative and space. The name of the short is Panel Space. It used the space to tell the story. You can’t get the whole deal from these images; It’s kinda like taking a picture of a sculpture or a film, feel me? I hope to explore this concept again soon and hopefully, if you’re reading this, you’ll be on hand to experience it.

That’s some interesting stuff you got, it’s a shame there’s not much of your work available here in Europe (The Netherlands, to be specific) yet. I found out about your art through the ads for the Sentences graphic novel with MF Grimm, I’ll definitely check that out when it drops. Peace!

thanks man!
It’s true, I don’t have much work available in Europe, but I’m working on it. I’d love to get my work out to Europe. I love the comics game out there. Actually my favorite works from the past few months have been European. Garage Band by Gigi in Italy and a guy named Jason who may be from the netherlands actually, I forget… but he draws these comics with anthropomorphic animals (OK… they’re allot better than that sounds) Try out his book, “the left bank gang”; it’s phenomenal. …He’s from Norway.
