Hey Folks, it’s that time of the year again and this time I’m gonna have some goodies for your dirty little fingers. Come out and see me at J12 Where I’ll be selling some posters and other goodies yet to be announced along with my comrade Jorden Haley of Karbine Labour industries. Prepare yourself for some really cool stuff and keep an eye on my tumblr for more info and updates as they come.
So it’s been ten years since 9-11. I watched it from the roof of Pratt and on m fire escape in Brooklyn. I don’t have much to say about it that I haven’t already. Here’s a comic I drew about it.
So yeah, I forgot to mention…on my own website… that my adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s Something Wicked This Way Comes came out a week or so ago. My mother says it’s the best read of the summer, but don’t take her word for it.
Here’s a brief interview of me talking about it on NPR. But you know… don’t get caught up in the cult of the personality and the spectacle of fame, buy and read the book so I can feed my chil’ren.
A month or so ago I got up with some colleagues and rapped about comics and journalism at NCMR in Boston. Here’s the video. Enjoy!
So…not only will I be speaking at the National Conference for Media Reform but I’ve decided I will swing by MoCCA Fest afterwards, on Saturday evening and again Sunday to hang at the Meathaus table (a11).
So this Saturday morning, in Boston, I will speak on Comics’ bearing on the Future of Journalism. I know, right?!!!
…and in the evening and Sunday, I will be at the MeatHaus table (a11). I believe they will be selling SoS and Go for the Gold3 as well as other great books to which I did not contribute. While I am there any books to which I contributed I’ll sign and doodle. Also I’ll probably bring a bag full of Sentences for which I’ll do the same. I will bring some original artwork, GratNin, Sentences, Swamp Thing, Papa Midnight… etc., If you’re interested in purchasing anything, drop me a line and I’ll make sure to bring it. This will be the first time I’ve offered my pages for sale at a con.
I am accepting GratNin commision requests. I may accept other interesting chara requests… but be warned, I can be choosy about what I will draw and maintain the right to not draw something for any reason.
looking forward to seeing anybody who swings through.

So publisher’s weekly announced my adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s Something Wicked This Way Comes.
PW says it’s supposed to drop on the 30th of June.
Here’s the cover without the type treatment they decided to go with… which kind of reminded me of the old Goosebumps books by RL Stine. :-/
other type treatments I suggested as well as a sketch from another cover treatment after the bump

In memory of Dwayne McDuffie

..from a project a friend of mine developed… Joseph Boulogne the Chevalier Saint Georges was a contemporary of Mozart. He was world class fencer and composer. Oh yeah, and the son of a slave and aristocrat.
breaks after the bump…
